A Wildland Fire Project Coordinator position is available with Colorado State University and the Center for Environmental management of Military Lands (CEMML) to be located in Fort Collins, Colorado. This position will directly support CEMML’s Wildland Fire Program Manager by writing fire management plans and helping to develop and carry out data analyses.

This position will require the following skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work seamlessly with internal team members and external sponsors.
  • Analysis skills to analyze spatial and non-spatial data, including a solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts.
  • Solid organizational skills to manage work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Keeping up to date on the latest science and how to apply it directly, or by modifying/combining methodologies, or by creating novel methodologies.
  • Creative and flexible thinking to address problems unique to the military that may not have direct correlates in other natural resources management environments.

This position is hybrid optional; work will be conducted 3 days in the office, and 2 days from home. The incumbent must be able to work in-person at least 3 days per week at the location at CSU in Fort Collins.
