Workshops, Trainings and Fieldtrips

SNAP (Southern Nevada Agency Partnership) provides opportunities for land management agencies in Southern Nevada to connect and work together on projects in the area. Land management agencies included in the partnership are U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and the National Park Service. SNAP is composed of six teams. One of those teams, the SNAP Science and Research Team, hosts this monthly webinar series. This series is a great way for researchers, public lands managers, volunteers, and others to learn about past and current projects, and build community across the different agencies.

We will have 3 faculty from UNLV presenting to us this month. Dr. Scott Abella, Dr. Nicole Pietrasiak, and Dr. Matthew Petrie will be presenters for this month's SNAP Lunch and Learn. All three are faculty in the Department of Life Sciences. They will be giving a presentation titled, "Update on Desert and Dryland Ecological Research at UNLV."
