This part-time Burn Crew Member is part of The Nature Conservancy's North America Fire program. Responsibilities include preparing fire lines, maintaining equipment, conducting pre- and post-burn monitoring, and conducting other prescribed fire related tasks. Other land management duties will be performed when conditions are not conducive to prescribed fire. The Burn Crew Member will have the opportunity to participate in several prescribed fire assignments during the late summer and fall burn seasons. Most of the work will occur between mid-August and November 2023, however additional job postings will open this winter for Spring 2024 positions. Location of assignments include but are not limited to California, Idaho, Colorado, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
