What agency data is available in the FFI DataDeport?

Currently, it is limited to data collected by the NPS Fire Ecology program. In the future it will include data for other agencies, bureaus, and anyone else who want to use the DataDepot.

What data collection protocols were used to collect these data?

The protocols used an any specific plot depend on project objectives, but commonly used protocols are: Trees - Fixed-area; Trees - Variable Radius; Surface Fuels FWD, CWD and duff & litter; Logs - Fixed-area; Surface Fuels - Vegetation; Photoloads; Cover - Points; Cover/Frequency; Cover - Line Intercept; Cover - Species Composition; Density - Belts, Density - Quadrats; CBI; Canopy - Densimeter.

Who can access the FFI DataDepot?

Anyone with a .gov email address. It will be open to others in the future.

Can I download a report to my computer?

Yes. The Download button is at the upper right of the report window. The file will be saved in comma delimited format.

Can I see an example report?

Sure. This is a Trees by Species report.
